Entry for IBM Business Partners
- The 2010 IBM Business Partner Awards, which comprises the Smarter Planet Awards, State Awards and National Awards, (the Awards Programme) is open to all IBM Business Partners located in Australia who have been Business Partners with IBM for a period of more than 6 consecutive months.
- The term “IBM Business Partner” is used informally and does not imply a legal partnership. An IBM Business Partner is an external company that participates in an established IBM programme under a contractual relationship to sell, promote or proactively influence the sale of IBM products, offerings or services.
- Entries can not be made by PR agencies or any other organisation on behalf of the IBM Business Partner.
- All entries for the Smarter Planet Awards must be submitted online at www.bpawards.com.au no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, 18 February, 2011 AEDT. Entries open 9:00am Tuesday, 25 January 2011.
- Business Partners eligible for the National & State awards will be nominated and determined by IBM. Contact your IBM representative to discuss getting your organisation nominated.
- No entry fee is required.
- Incomplete entries are invalid and will not be considered.
- Category selection: It is recommended that you read through each set of category criteria questions to select the appropriate category for your organisation to enter. There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit, provided your organisation meets all of the relevant entry criteria and is able to submit one case study per category.
- Commercial sensitivity: Before submitting an entry for the Smarter Planet Awards, IBM Business Partners should consider any commercial sensitivity issues which may arise from an entry, as judges may require further information to assist them in making a proper evaluation of the entry. All customer deals that are referenced in your submission must be authorised by the customer to be an eligible entry. IBM may, upon request, require you to provide evidence of this customer authorisation. All projects must have been implemented between 1 January 2010 and 31 December 2010.
- Entries for the Smarter Planet Awards must be submitted via the web site www.bpawards.com.au in accordance with the online questions and must detail all requisite information. A separate entry must be completed for each category entered by an IBM Business Partner. A confirmation email will be sent after each submission is received.
- The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Chance plays no part in the Awards Programme. Entry into this Awards Programme shall be deemed to be an acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- Category winners will receive a category winner plaque acknowledging the award. Winners of the Smarter Planet Award categories, will also receive a Marketing and/or PR promotional package with an approximate value of AU$5,000.
- Prizes may not be substituted or exchanged for cash. IBM is not liable for any tax consequences or statutory charges that may be incurred by any organisations in relation to the Awards Programme. Independent taxation advice should be obtained before participating in the Awards Programme.
- IBM will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries.
- IBM will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with this Awards Programme or as a result of accepting or using the prize except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- Access to company information: During evaluation, the judges may require access to relevant information in the entrant’s possession and/or access to the company’s premises or website. If access to the requested information, premises or website is not granted by the entrant, the relevant entry will be deemed invalid.
- By submitting an entry, finalists and winners agree that their names, general locations and client references can be used for public relation purposes by IBM in any advertising and promotional materials relating to the Awards Programme without additional compensation. Material from the submissions may be used for editorial coverage in an Australian News Publication should the entrant reach finalist stage, unless the entrant clearly expresses otherwise.
- All entries become the property of IBM. All entries will be entered into a database and IBM may use the entrants’ names and addresses for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes unless otherwise advised by the entrant. - IBM reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the Awards Programme rules (including altering prizes) at its sole discretion.
- The promoter of this Awards Programme is IBM Australia Limited, 601 Pacific Highway, St Leonards, Sydney, Australia.
Smarter Planet Awards
- Judging of all eligible entries for the Smarter Planet Awards received by 5:00 p.m. AEDT, Friday 18 February 2011 will be completed by 25 February 2011. Finalist's details will be published in the next IBM Newsletter published after 3 March 2011. A short list of no more than 4 finalists for each Smarter Planet category will be selected by a judging panel consisting of qualified representatives from IBM.
- Judging criteria is available on the website at www.bpawards.com.au/judging-process.html
- Finalists for the Smarter Planet Awards will be notified via email and/or telephone by 25 February 2011. Finalists must be available for interview by an Australian news publication following notification of their finalist status if required.
- Each Smarter Planet Award category winner will be selected from the shortlist of finalists by the same judging panel after further discussion. Judging of the Smarter Planet Award category winners will be completed by no later than 25 February 2011.
- Winners of the Smarter Planet Awards will be announced at the IBM Business Partner Summit in Sydney on 3 March 2011. All winners will be re-announced and recognised at each subsequent IBM Business Partner Summit 2011 State event (where applicable). For State event dates please visit www.bpawards.com.au. Winners may also feature in an Australian news publication and local media where possible.
National & State Awards
- Organisations eligible for the National and State Awards will be nominated by the IBM Channel Sales Manager.
- Nominations will close at 5:00pm AEDT, Friday 18 February 2011. Winners of the National and State Award categories will be selected by a judging panel consisting of qualified representatives of IBM, judged on the following criteria:
- Revenue attainment;
- Ease of doing business with IBM;
- Education and Certification;
- Year-on-year growth of IBM Business;
- Know Your IBM participation;
- Co-marketing excellence; and
- Innovation & Customer solutions.
- National winners will be announced at the IBM Business Partner Summit in Sydney on 3 March 2011. All winners will be re-announced and recognised at each subsequent IBM Business Partner Summit State event (where applicable).
